We had to make a quick run up to Laos and back to Bangkok because our Thai visa's had run out - this is the journey back to Bangkok

The Thais extended the Singapore-Bangkok line all the way north to Vientiane. There is a beautiful railway bridge over the Mekong and brand new station on the Lao side, but for some reason the train stops 100 yards from the border on the Thai side.
