Hello from Pokhara

Hi...

We FINALLY made it to Pokhara, after a really shitty and long bus ride!!! They told us to check in at 6am On some street where all the buses leave from...
About 6;15 our pulls up...
We lock our bags to the roof...
Departure time 6:30am-no way!!! Depart at 7am...
We cruise 200 yards down the street and stop again...
Then 5 min later depart...
Oh, no-we have to stop to pick up 2 more people because there are 2 more seats open...
Depart again...
Stop for gas 10 min down the road (why can't they ever do this before picking up passengers???)...
Depart again...
30 min later, we stop for a cig break and a pee for 10 min...
Lucky for us we got stuck in the back seat w/on local and 2 Israelis (actually who were pretty nice!) An hour later we stop again for a pee/tea break...
Depart again-you get the picture??? Every F@@#$ hour we stop the buss for some retarded reason...
No wonder why it takes 8 hours to get anywhere-I'm going on strike and want to fly back to Katmandu after our trek and water rafting!!!

This town is very odd...
There are water buffalo and cows wandering without owners in the streets and on the sidewalks (what sidewalks they do have...)

At the moment, i think that I prefer the big city of Katmandu over Pokhara (even though all the
books rave about Pokhara)...
It took us 3 internets to finally find one that had a connection as there are only 2 servers in town!!! The windows are open and I can look out at the dirt/mashed pavement/puddles, and smell the sweet aroma of cow doo-doo!! But the people here are just lovely!!!

Good luck with the drive to CO!
luv you all!
SG
