BKK bound!!!

Howdy Cathy...
Sorry, you had such an 'eventful' time getting home!!! Joe used to email us about how "negative" some of our old travel emails used to be (especially in S. America) but to us, these were just funny anecdotes by the time we wrote them, even if we were quite frustrated when they happened!!!...
-Now you have a bunch of your own!!!

Lets recap...

  • Koh Nang Yuan losing your laundry...
'lying' and telling you that it was done on KNY, when it was actually being shipped over the Chawang on the mainland!!!
  • Joe "Forgetting" to sign the visa slip
  • A nightmare flight home w/some guy really sick-flying into Alaska (did you get to get off the plane there??? too bad you did not have some extra days to 'discover Alaska'-one place that M and I really would love to go-perhaps a family trip one day??-Kevin, you would not actually have to leave the country, I'll have to have Gillian work on you for that trip!!! :))
  • AND having to go into quarantine after arriving in SFO (at least they did not keep you for 6-12 months, like they do with dogs and cats!!! :)
  • Not to mention that poor girl on the boat from ko Tao!!!
  • And hell!!! Let's not forget....
All the BUGS YOU GUYS HAD...
First KNY (in the posh room), and the Chawang Jeep...
Good thing your house is clean ...
Any bugs on that front yet???
All these stories are what make traveling so much fun and exciting...
Even the BUGS!!! Though I still have yet to discover the humor in my bed bugs that I got in Singapore-perhaps in another couple months!!!

It's Sat, we are in Nathon waiting for our 2pm ferry to Sera Thani and catching the 2nd class 6:20pm train (aircon, we were promised, but I won't believe it till we get on the train ...
All lower bunks were taken, so we have 2 upper-hope we can sit together before they make up the beds!)
Sorry, just got your advise re: Chawang and the lovely massages!!! Hope to do it next time!!! We ended up on Lamai for 4 lovely nights, at Utopia-500B/night very nice bungalows,-clean the rooms everyday, tp, and towels provided, and excellent food!!! for 200B more you can get A/C...
We were at the quiet section of town for us old fogies-only one beachfront at Utopia and is noisy as there is a bar on the beach next door-so we did not have a beach view, but the beach was lovely for swimming, clam waters!!!! Most importantly, relaxing and NO FISH!!!

Had all my photos developed from Angkor Wat and Vietnam through when you and Joe came when we were in KNY!!! They came out great!!!...
At first I only gave them 3 rolls to develop, but they did such a fantastic job-most came out so colorful and wonderful! will mail home to m & d when we get to Bangkok and will later send negatives -you will love the one w/the old man at Nang Yuan-it came out GREAT!!!

We actually found "snus"...
Chew here in Lamai at 2 Swedish bars at 140Bhatt/each...
He no longer can 'bitch' about me picking up a new pair of pants, etc, etc-as we picked up 24 cans!!!
Went to that National Marine park yesterday...
Was very nice, but cloudy weather and the water was not clear-snorkeling was not an option...
The 'headmistress/tour bitch from hell' from Germany-Madam KLEB, that ran the boat and speaks 5 languages-but and the scenery was very nice, but did NOT hold a candle to Ha Long bay in Vietnam...:)
And the people on the boat all kept to themselves except for one Australian couple...
BORING PEOPLE!!!
Piercing is going well...
It really did not hurt much more that getting a shot at the docs if you can believe it!!! Andrea, from Andreas piercing, on the way to Bill and Jane’s, was awesome...
We used breathing techniques for the piercing...
It actually has more pains now (once in a while-like bending over) than the actually piercing did...
But is getting better...
Hot water w/salt over it in a cup (so the cup suctions on the belly) 2xday, and cleaning w/q-tips and then with a solution...
More work than I thought it would be-takes about 50 minutes each time I clean it!!! We also have to boil the water first!!!

We picked up a Lonely Planet Nepalreally cheap used-250Bhat, here and are really looking forward to going!!! We are planning on organizing our visas on Monday for Nepal and India and may do Chang Mai when we come back through bkk to Hong Kong...
Not sure...

All for now,
glad you made it home safe and in one piece!!!
luv ya both, and thanks for showing us KNY!!!
luv,
xoxo>
SG and M :)
