Introduction

Yes, I know the most recent post in this Blog is dated 2001. That's because that's when we returned from our trip. When we went there was no such thing as a "Blog" - we just sent emails to a distribution list and then posted photos on our website.

We had promised many people that we would write a book about our journey. Well, good intentions and all that - you see, life intervened. This Blog is the closest you are likely to get to that. It's re-posting of those emails and photos, with me adding some additional commentary as I have time.

If you are interested, I'm still resurrecting old emails, and scanning photos and transcribing our journals, so if you subscribe to the Atom/RSS feed you can be notified when I put newly resurrected material in place.

If this is your first time here, start reading backwards from 1997. You'll get more out of it that way.
