Legend has it that when the King returns to Patan, this bird will fly to the head of this elephant, and then the elephant will take a bath in the alligator fountain shown above. There is a hooka in the (vacant) palace here, awaiting the use of the returning king. A servant stokes freshly every day just in case the Elephant takes his bath (signaling the return of the king)
